Fluorescent "Birdseye" Sphalerite Which is Multicolor in MW + LW UV, Plus Briefly LW Phosphorescent Too!!! LED MW & LW Responses are the Best & Brightest (Shown in the Pics), But SW is Very, Very Dull & Nearly Non-Existent (NOT Shown)
The Piece Actually Looks Even More Colorful in Person Too! My Camera has Difficulty When There are So Many Colors & They are So Bright!
Locality: Zinc Corporation of America Mines - Balmat, New York, USA
Weight: 5.6 ozs.
Measures Approximately: 2.5" x 2.1" x 1.6"
The First 3 Fluorescent Pics Show the Longwave (LW) UV Response under a Convoy C8+ LED LW UV Flashlight, which shows Better & Brighter Colors Compared to a Standard, Non-LED LW UV Light. Fluorescent Response Will Vary Based on Strength of Light Used, but Any Decent Light of the Proper Wavelength(s) Will Produce a Similar Response!
